Parkside Cafe, nestled at 12 Forest Hill Rd in London, has quickly garnered a reputation as a community gem. Renowned for its inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, the cafe is a hub for locals seeking comfort and good food. Frances Piper noted its charm, especially with a delightful omelette and an old tea kettle, embracing a cozy, nostalgic vibe. Regulars like Adam Thompson appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as the calming green door handle and the authentic tea boiler, which enhance the cafe's warm ambiance. Customers rave about the affordable drinks and the consistent quality of service; Mark Jones and Malkit Bhatti highlight the attentive service and the cafe’s superior offerings compared to nearby competitors. The cafe provides an ideal stop for a quick refreshment or a leisurely chat, teeming with the life of the community—from students to senior patrons. However, a small drawback is its closure on Sundays, which only adds to the anticipation of visiting. Overall, Parkside Cafe embodies generosity and comfort, making it a must-visit destination for anyone in the area.

A lot better this coffee place , and they have good customer service. Better than the horrible cafe across the road.

The door handle, all smooth and pebble like in calming green. The proper tea boiler urn thing. The day's red top papers. The locals - from lads on their way to Harris, to old dears popping by as part of their routine. The service. The generosity of spirit. The only downside is that it's closed Sundays. But it's good to wait sometimes, isn't it?

This place is so affordable and portion sizes are decent too. It's really a community service as it's affordability means everyone can afford a hot drink or meal out. Staff are nice and attentive with kids aswell. We live overseas but always visit when visiting family nearby

This dish I was not expecting to find it in there, but it was and it attracted my attention; it is chicken curry with rice, which was great as portion size and price. Left from there fed up and ready for a afternoon power nap. Great atmosphere and lovely helping staff. Nice and clean. Thank you very much for the experience.
